Description
From the Egyptian Hall of the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
This portrait has suffered a bit, but the image is still clear. Not so much the background images.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Fabulous capture!
Thanks, amigo. We be winding down though.
Interesting representation of Horus on his right shoulder, looks like the desire for more realistic portraits included their gods.
Good eyes. I was wondering who that could be. Yes, there is a startling amount of realism here.
The eyes are striking. Have not been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in years...need to get back for a visit.
Yes, they are. This is stuff I would not mind having on the walls here.
Simply Beautiful,
Very stunning work for an oldie from that period. TNX.
Well taken !!
Good work. We see here and in previous paintings influences from the Greek and Roman worlds, striving for a real image of the person. It would be interesting to know what is written along the upper edge of the painting. His name? Other? Keep up the good work! These recent posts show how advanced the artists were at the time. :-)
Good eyes! I didn't notice that or pay any attention there. Too bad I could not get a clearer image. Yes, the portraiture is becoming more like we'd expect from later ages. Too bad we had that Hunnish, Visigothic, Ostrogothic, Anygothic, etc. interlude. Art suffered.
