By the way, I looked everywhere to see if I could find out how tall these columns are. Best I can tell, they're somewhere around 40 feet.
We went to a museum yesterday and I overdid a bit, so we're staying in today and tomorrow to relax and let my scrapes and bruises heal. The weather is cooperating nicely, giving us rain showers and cooler temperatures, so as to not tempt us to go out and play! :)

If we had our tape measure we could stop by there next week and just measure the bottom section, multiply by six and we'd know for sure:-) Love your composition, light and shadows. Nice...

Nice work. Usually one sees a long straight row of columns, here we have a curve. Makes for more interesting. As for height, there's no person in the photo which makes it difficult to estimate. But Bill's idea is sound. Measure a certain height and multiply it to the top. Keep up the good work! :-) Looking forward to those measurements.

This is a wonderful shot, Tara! This could be a scene right out of ancient Greece (if they'd had D70s back then..). The light and shadow play is just great!
