While at the motel, I noticed that the bushes had been trimmed back a bit. this one branch cut was interesting

First I thought it was a fractal image. Strange cut on the branch.
Very nice capture!
That is a neat pattern!
old shrubbery!! Which it should be, had they said Nee at the appropriate time! Cool pic!!
very good macro
Indeed it is Mike.
Looks like a Alien hiding in the design.
Thanks for sharing.
That is some absolutely gorgeous grain. People would pay out big time for that to make a table or something if it was bigger. At first glance? The shape of the cut and color made me think of French Toast.
At first sight it does look like a fungus or some strange creature. Nice wood grain.
Great find, Mike! The ring pattern on that cut is interesting indeed.
Unusual rings - maybe because it's a branch
Heh, I can see someone making a tiny table out of that.
another cool captcha my friend!!
Great capture !!
Not much of a gardener here, but this looks curious. Do branches have more than one "life-ring"? No matter what, very interesting photo! Seeing the thumbnail at first I thought it is a fractal/abstract... nature is really some special kind of artist :)
Cool that you found that branch-cut. Sometimes it really is "the little things"
very cool. it sort of looks alien.
Interesting rings there!!!!
Looks unusual indeed, nice shot :)
cool shot Mike!
Cool one
Superb capture my friend. God bless.
This is amazing!
Fascinating patterns! A fine capture, Mike!
nice shot
really interesting...yes!
Nice pattern in the branch !
In fact, it looks really strange. Nature is a whimsy creator ... Super photo, Mike!
nice capture
(I hope that reading 13 or 14 of my comments in a row doesn't make you bleary eyed. It's a lot different for the reader than it is for the commenter!) Fine shot of this unexpected "interruption" in the life of a big branch. And the sawed off end looks like small fractal or a set of flat gears or some 3D image. And the angle you caught makes it look like it snaked out of its shelter to greet us. Fine seeing and capture.
