Description
trying an experiment with 'backgrounds' as it were with two creatures Dragon and Robo-wasp. I used a single spot light pointing at the Wasp and let Iray take over. at the 58 minute point I canceled the render because it was still at 0% completed. but when I looked at the result. I was impressed.
Thank you for your faves, comments and look-sees at my previous work. I do appreciate it all
I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.

I like the results also, Mike. This could be a interesting fight. Keep up the super renders.
A fun piece, Mike! Well done!
If this popped alive any more I would be swatting Robo Wasp away from me! LOL. And that's so strange too. I'm not familiar with this rendering process and the 0% complete status you received so it will be interesting to read what everybody has to say about that. Excellent stuff, Mike!!!
I have to say I love your experiment here, Mike! This looks awesome!
I can believe the render time... I've had a couple renders sit at 16% for hours. I finally canceled the render, and saved the image i Couldn't see how it could get much better than it was at that point.
Nice render!!!!!!
Super render best seen in large great details mike a lovely bit of rendering!!
Great work!!!!!! fav!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool scene Mike - The dragon will have the advantage in this fantasy landscape!
I believe the dragon will spit fire! Fantastic fight, superb work, Mike!
This is a very good and very beautiful!
Fantastic Work,
Beautifully crafted! Well done Mike.I have had Iray do that to not shore why it happens...
Yeah, Iray can be funny like that, so can Daz. One explanation I've heard is something to do with a light error. I'll have to research that.
Wonderful image my friend :)
Very clean render
My money is on the Dragon!! super image!
I think it looks amazing!!
Wow!!! This is so cool my multi talented friend!!
Excellent image.
Very good scene!!!
Good render.
Excellent
if the dragon bites the scorpion it will be electrocuted or have radio active poisoning from it's nuclear powered system.
both versions are great
Way to go, Mike! You really expand your horizons here! Keep up the great work! Bravo!
Dragon wins
Man, I think I slept through February 14. Should be easy to defeat Robo-Wasp. Just pull out the spark plug wires.
you did great here!
I don't know anything about this process, so can I assume that the line about a third of the way up the image is where the render 'stopped'? Something like that? (Or something didn't finish...) Anyway, I love the dragon with the robo wasp, love the play, and your usual sense of humor. I don't know if you designed the wasp, but I love its design if you did. And it seems so non-plussed by the dragon, like it's not even fazed at all. I also love the 'sugar loaf' mountains (they have these kinds of mountains in parts of China; and if you look at some old Chinese paintings, you'll see those mountains over and over). With lush vegetation and hues on at least one. Delightful and lush. I'm curious how the finished render would have differed...
