man, you should've been a designer of some kind...you do things with a few colors and geometric designs that knock our eyes out. I love how you carry the checkerboard design through this whole piece; it's even reflected in the wall. And the red and black are great contrasts. Esp with the chrome-reds you get in her chair (and in a sculpture on the wall). You have a face on the right-side---like a film festival poster---and those low hanging lights on the left. Really well designed. (And it's gotta be seen full size! It takes over the screen.)
And, in the center, Harlequin, who looks like she's relaxing after a performance w/ a mix of reflectiveness and quiet. (The original harlequin character was supposed to be mute---so your portrayal is accurate.) Again, great job with her outfit and pose; you composed her in the chair beautifully, in a quiet, reflective moment. This is a terrific piece, Steve: You design with geometric elements as deftly as you do with nature. It's a fine piece of work.
