First about the title, I love one of the names this Iris pseudacorus is called.
And so excellent to use for a birthday card., that "Yellow Flag".
What I don't know is, what expression is good to use when someone hangs the flag for a joyous occasion.
: "Put out the flag, or "for someone sticking the flag"?
But what I know for sure is, that today it's Andrea's Birthday.
Congratulations, Andrea, and I wish you many more happy years in the future.

I used to have loads of these in my garden. There was a very boggy bit where I couldn't actually garden, but the yellow flags did beautifully there. I miss them every year now, but not the work of keeping up a garden! :P This is a beautiful image for Andrea. Just lovely!
