Description

Coming down the Thu Bon River from the My Son Mountains, visible in the distance, in Quang Nam Province, I couldn't help but think about the 1979 movie 'Apocalypse Now' with Robert Duvall, Marlon Brando, and Martin Sheen, where the guys going up a river were worried about snipers. We didn't have to worry about that, but I could see how exposed one is from both sides of the river while traveling on a boat.
