Whenever I visit a zoo and try to get photos of the animals they never turn out so nice as your series at the Budapest Zoo.

Interesting pair.
I'm trying not to go chronologically (so as to get a larger swath), but you've posted so few animal shots of late, I can't help it. This has a real Claude contrast; the bleached white of the surface the hbills are standing on, next to the deeper gold browns beneath it, and those striations on the pipe/ledge in front of them. With the trees as background. I love the composition and contrasts. And the birds themselves are caught with grungy-sharp detail in those faces. These are not faces one would like to look at before going to sleep. Fine contrast with the geometrics of the shot. A fine piece all around, Claude.
