Description
Hi dear friends,
Hoping you are rolled well into the new year, I accompany my wishes with an old spontaneously made (in black Indian ink on paper) sketch.
By PSP I added a texture for the background to it.
I'm sorry that I'm still quite absent on RR.
Of course I hope to soon catch up my visits here.
One day, I thought that the flu was gone, but the next day ....... there it was again.
Dear friends, stay safe, and I hope you enjoy your free days (holidays) further.
With love, Jacomina-Mies.

Beautiful art, Mies! I wish you a healthy and happy New Year
Cracking image :)
Outstanding work Mies. Happy new year to you and your loved ones. God bless.
ooh, I love your drawing, and I love that the owl is winking at us. Lots of painstaking detail in your pen work. And the shading around the owl is meticulous, as well. And I love how you framed it with that textured background--with deep greens and purples and dark golds, etc. And a very sweet message for the 'mysteries' of our lives. Beautiful work, Jacomina, and I hope your flu leaves for good, soon...I wish you a blessed, inspired, moving, and love-filled 2016; and thank you for all the beauty and love you bring to us, throughout each year. I hope it all comes back to you each day. Get better soon! Happy New Year!
Outstanding work ...beautiful

Happy new year to you and yours my friend ... Marvelous creation/composition... Love it !!!
I know, how much you love owls and this one is very special, because it is winking at us and what a cheeky grin it has... of course it is a very wise old owl, who knows [as owls always do] a lot about us folks here and wishes us all well for the NEW YEAR ! - thank you Jacominchen, likewise to you and Karel...
I wish I had a magic trick up my sleeve to make your pain go away and that is my New Year's wish for you in 2016 and beyond...
Very beautifully done with excellent texture and color. I hope that flu finally takes off so that your new year can start properly.
Yay, it's Winky the Owl here to let us know it's another new year...thanks Winky !
I hope you and Karel had a great celebration (and not too much hangover !) to start the year...with a bang ? (fireworks, I mean...LOL). Neat work on your scene, especially your 2D skills !

Prachtige, originele creatie!!Gelukkig 2016!!
Best wishes for a happy and creative 2016, my friend! I love your picture, and am glad you brought it out to show us! It's wonderful! :)
Happy New year, Mies! Your pen and ink drawing is superb, very fine technique. Pen and ink has been my favorite medium since 1961. In art school I had the pleasure of studying original Medieval manuscripts. These were the real thing, very rare and chained to the tables like they were in the 13th century. Then I had my epiphany, especially the ink drawings of various animals and birds. The one I most resonated with was a huge owl, from that point on I have drawn owls in many styles. Yours reminded me of that moment. Thanks!
Exellente Creatie.
De Beste Wensen in 2016 voor Jou en Karel.
Beautifully done, I love the etched feeling you've given this. Happy new year to you and your family!
take care!!!
Wonderful work ! ! ! ! Hope your New Year is off to a great start ! ! !
Happy New Year to you too.
Wow what a beautiful piece of art Mies.
I am really behind here---- Jim and I wish you and Karel a very Happy New Year and all the best in 2016.
