This is a beautiful and well-realized vignette. It does leave itself open to many interpretations, especially due to the ambiguity in the characters' expressions. I feel (almost) like I am watching a play, because of your framing of the image. Really well-thought out, and definitely a winner!

Richly furnished interior scene. Perhaps the lighting can be improved upon in this one; it looks like sunlight, except this is an indoor scene. Well, maybe it's just me. :)
