Description
I had the unexpected pleasure of watching the Eclosion of a Zebra Longwing yesterday. The nature center I visited has a small butterfly enclosure and there were rows of chrysalises catching the morning sun. Several of them were emerging and I focused on this one for a few shots. I had never seen the emergence of a butterfly live so it was a real treat.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

Oh-em-gee, metamorphosis at its most striking and sharply defined in this stunning capture of the beautiful butterfly emerging from the chrysalis, Maria. Unbelievable colors, clarity, patterns and textures in this grand image! How fortunate can you get?
