Description
This is one of eight rows of 125 buddhas each in The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas near Missoula, MT. A few folks have asked if we really counted them...yes, via a little addition and multiplication:-) Actually, there are a few bigger buddhas around the outside walls...making at least 1006/1007.
Zoom worthy for details.
The little plaques in front of each buddha are sponsor plaques listing families or individuals by name.

Astonishing! What a place to visit!
I love the calming effect of the repetition which might help me cope with the proximity of the mountains if I was there .
very nice POV
Fascinating - I had no idea this place even existed. Well done
indeed cool POV
Great perspective, excellent shot!
A fantastic sight and in zoom one also sees the background, which is stunning too.
good to now some mathematics :-) stunning perspective in this!
Stunning capture Bill. God bless.
What a wonderful place and setting. It all looks so pristine.
It must be amazing to see & visit this beautiful place. xx
Incredibly fascinating; what a beautiful place! And you got a great shot too, of course!
I like the pov you chose taking in additional Buddhas
I like Andrea's comment, because I think I said something quite similar about the repetition. It's quite soothing. I like your pov, btw. Nicely done! :*
So what you are saying is that they are 'big fat liars'...........;)
Wow, a totally awesome and beautiful image! Great POV you used and it must have been really something to see!
Seems like it would be challenging to find an effective POV to convey this unique location, but you've done a fine job here - I get a really visceral sense of the multitudes of buddhas against the backdrop of that beautiful hillside & I think I can imagine what it must be like to actually be there (maybe)...
Wow...most impressive....
I like the POV very much Bill. Very nice capture. I do not envy the person who has to clean up the figures ;)
Definitely a Zensation being there! Great capture and narrative
