Description
Did this in the late 1990s. It's still slightly incomplete. Zhou Dunyi (Wade-Giles Romanization: Chou Tun-i 周敦頤; 1017 - 1073) was a scholar and philosopher of the Song Dynasty in China who pioneered the introduction of metaphysical ideas into Confucianism, a school of thought previously concerned almost exclusively with moral and social issues. According to legend he was visited by a Taoist priest who showed him a mystic diagram from which he derived many of his ideas. Here I let my imagination run wild in imagining the scene of the visitation. Zhou is on the right side of the image, the Taoist the left. :)
