Description
Another beauty from that year, captured back on 10/19/08, at a car show held in beautiful Santa Anita Park in beautiful Arcadia, California.
Sorry, this is the last of my pics of the splendidly designed 1940 Fords at Santa Anita Park. They really changed after that. What I find interesting in this shot is the outside mirror on the door, both reflecting on the door, and casting its shadow on the fender.
Avtio.

What superb shots of this beauty! I do love this yellow, and this auto style has so much character!
All the Ford pick-up are very iompàressive...vehicles in this category often have large wings at the front and rear wings rather blurred in the line of the vehicle !!! excellent mini series !!!
Superb Harry. This Ford and I share the same birth year. Maybe I should get a new paint job and my chrome polished up too:)
Great shots, Harry. They really did a bang up job on this restoration!
Sweet ride! My 1992 should look this good (LOL).
Gorgeous truck! No doubt an incredible amount of time and money went into producing this beautiful truck. Quite stunning.
Super shots, Harry. And I see the fun details you mentioned :) I am a bit behind with comments and uploads these days. I hope I can catch up tomorrow. So, I am still active. Just busy.
A stunning beauty indeed, possibly the best scheme yet.. Maybe lol So many to choose from.. Great show mate. By the way Harry, yes, our rubbish Government decided to insult the memory of immortal Lightning Jet by naming that pile of Corporate rubbish the F-35 the Lightning II.. We could have 3 Typhoons for the price of one F-35!!!! Geez who's back pocket is the money going in I wonder.. Rob
Back to your car shots again. Another eye popper. I do see the mirror and how it makes a bright yellow spot on the door, but a dark shadow on the wheel fender. It's like the same shape, only in reverse. The first shot is a head shot, and you've softened the busy background so as to make it not-interfere. (It actually makes a very active melange back there.) But the face of this truck is a dour intense yellow-nosed beast, and you got the flare as well as the morphed yellows and oranges beautifully. The front swoops down into shadow, also caught so well. The second shot gives us your usual side view---to complete the views---and we see not just the play of the mirror, but the whole sweep of the truck. I can't imagine pickup trucks looking like this today: Even without the paint job, the beautiful bulbous sweep of this chrome would seem so out of place in modern pickups. Fine job on the hues and flare and shadows in that shot too. These car/truck shots have been a grand treat, Harry, and you're totally at home with them, no matter how ostentatious they may be, or how difficult to capture. Kudos.
