Description
Captured back on 4/5/12 at the beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Instead of titling this one, Trees, or something generic and pedestrian like that, I decided on 'Gothic tree' because of the dark, menacing, spooky ambience of twisted trunks, gnarled branches, along with grasping limbs seeking prey, which make up that section of the Nature Center. Tons of dead leaves cover the ground in this image.

YIKES It trying to move !! I can almost see it doing it :-) Super fun and beautiful shot again, Harry :D
Awesome Pic!!!!
How cool to see this! It almost seems to be buried waist-deep in dead leaves, I wonder how deep they actually go? Fantastic shot, Harry!
wonderful
Great find
Good composition with that tree.
exact title for this old tree...it's a gothic and funny tree !!!
How cool. Some trees just have so much character and obvious history to them. Nicely found and captured.
Fitting title! It almost looks as though the level of the dirt around the trees might have been raised at some time. Perhaps it's just the branches being located so close to the ground.
Well established.. Looks great doesn't it.. That means it'll be hacked down soon.. I bet.. But, this shot is perfect mate. Rob
