Description
I recently purchased a set of filters for my camera that includes a 10x macro & I have just started to play with it a little bit. This is a closeup I took with it of some vegetation growing on a fallen log. Seems like an amazing amount of growth to me in such a small space...

Suspect this is Tortula ruralis now called Syntrichia or a very closely related species.Long white hair points on the leaves, which are twisted when dry and reddish rib on leaf, capsule long exserted.
What fun to have the new filters to play with. I am looking forward to viewing many new macros from you. :)
