Description
A photo taken in my best friends driveway. The rug that you see is their front door! The alligators head is resting in a puddle. A garden hose got him moving and he ended up, in one of the water hazards, on the 11th fairway, on the golf course behind Jims house. I am sorry that I keep posting alligator photos but they are part of our life in south Florida and they are so easy to photograph. Photo taken on a cell phone. I was going to post this in the humor genre but changed my mind. I was surprised that it zoomed.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

whoa!! it could do some significant damage. outstanding capture for a phone camera
Awesome capture, I'd hate to see that at my back door, ugh!
A cool capture Dana. Careful where you step.
WOW Very incredible capture !!!!!!
Rather a cutie! Water hazards must be more hazardous than on our golf course !
For someone who lives in a country with on dangerous critters I love to see stuff like this so post as much as you like
An alligator at the door, this is an unusual visit! Beautiful capture, Dana! Un alligator devant la porte, c'est une visite inhabituelle! Belle capture, Dana!
amusant
I love lizards but you can keep these Dana. I would be afraid to go out at night !!
Vous avez de drôles de visiteurs dans votre région... Merveilleuse capture mon ami !!! Étonnante également !!!
here kitty, kitty, kitty. dang, so glad i do not live in your fair state my friend.
if it came down to it, I'd rather be visited by an alligator than a politician or salesman Great capture
marvellous
Do you get a lot of deaths due to the crocs? Would be worried about the girls!!! xx
We do not lose many people to the alligators. Sharks seem to bite more people than alligators down here. Our mailing address is Delray Beach, Florida but we actually live west of Delray Beach's city limits - in what is called Unincorporated Portions of Palm Beach County. More like the Everglades than city living.
Amazing surprise in front of the door ! nice shot in action, Dana !
Wow great and terrific shot !
Yikes! That's a little too close for comfort! Amazing circumstance and glad you had your cell phone with you.
Wow - a little larger than the reptiles in my driveway :)
That would have scared the livin' daylights out of me ... anyhow, they do make attractive handbags and - can be very expensive ! thank heavens Steve Irwin missed this one ... BTW - there is nothing wrong, with seeing more picture of alligators - those are harmless ;)) Well done with a mobile phone, that's what we call them here ... LOL BB
Wow! He's a big one. Great shot!
cool capture
Keep them coming Dana. We have Saltwater crocs over here.........but errrr.......they have far less 'sense of humour' than your gators. If we got this close we would be dinner.....period!
I like gator shots too. I too old to see how close I can get before running but I really never did that. My close up shots was when i was in the car and the gator was close to the road.
I've heard that if you rub their belly, that they fall asleep.I will let someone else try that.A fine shot of this large visitor.
I do not want to have such a visit on the doorstep. I think even if he is not very large, it can bite in the calf or so. Ouch! A superb capture.
A big surprise almost at the door!
It makes you think about stepping outside without looking around carefully first! I have heard that their tail can do quite a bit of damage if they whack you in a hurry too. Can't imagine seeing this outside the door! Great shot, Dana!
Excellent capture! :)
Lovely to see
Have anyone seen my car keys? ;o) Never bored to see these nice chaps! :o)
