Description
One of the joys of our visits to Kansas is seeing our twin grandsons. Liam and Xander turned six years old in January.

Such a beautiful portrait of a very handsome boy. You are blessed to have two of them. This reminds me of an English story book that a good friend of my mothers used to let me read. The illustrations looked very much like this.

Quite "charming" little guy.
An equally beautiful shot, and we can see they are twins, and we can see they are separate souls. This shot (as I said in my last comment) is bathed in more shadow than Xander's, and a background of deep reddish bureau with curtains or a door back there. Your background is reminiscent of the backgrounds of 17th C. paintings, very chamber-like, and intimate. Liam emerges out of it, pondering, questioning, reaching out somehow. And, like Xander, you have him to one side---only here, he's on the opposite side. I wonder if you did that intentionally---giving the two twins a side of their own, and opposites at that. It's a lovely pairing, regardless. And he, too, has reddish undertones that give him warmth and beauty. Another candid that feels like a considered portrait: It's beautiful, Tara. These two shots are beautiful portraits of twins, in likeness and difference, and in mood. I loved them both when they went up; and I've yet to photograph people this way. To me, these are almost like paintings. And when commenting one after the next, I can see so many ties between the two shots and boys. Beautiful work, both of these. (Ok, more boring language stuff, if you don't know it: "Liam" is from "William". And William means "Willful protector"---a good meaning to have, if one's into meanings. "Will" is the "Willful" part; and "iam" is from "helm"---originally "Wil-helm". And helm means just that: A place of protection. We get "helmet" from it. Not too shabby for a name...)
