My brother, his wife & I were walking around Santa Barbara near the beach when we heard some music playing. We followed the sound & found a rock band performing on a patio outside a restaurant. They were very good & we stayed & listened for a few songs, but I was more interested in watching the muralist who was painting one wall of the restaurant. He had finished laying out the background (which was mostly abstract, but with some recognizable objects in it) & was going back in & adding details. He would look at the wall carefully, walk over to one spot & add a few touches of color, then step back & walk over to a different section & touch that up. I thought it would be interesting to do a time lapse film of the entire process (from blank wall to finished mural), but had to settle for this one photo...
