Description
Tara (auntietk) leaning into the wind as we are tearing along in a friend's motorboat on the Tickfaw River in Louisiana.
Told her at the time, she reminded me of a stylish 1920s automobile hood ornament complete with windswept hair:)
P.S. Tara put a shot of me up with the same title from the same ride.

Wonderful and cool capture of Tara, Bill! It sounds like you two had a great time and the pictures show it. Thanks for sharing
I think you are right. superb portrait of your love
Superb capture Bill. God bless.
Great shot!!... nice camera!
Oh, yes! Fab bonnet mascot, very collectable, like the Spirit of Ecstasy. She looks wonderful!
Getting your own back then Bill !! Super 'action' shot of Tara.
LOL I just saw her shot of you. What a great pair you guys make. Thanks for sharing the fun with us.
big smile
Fabulous shot of Tara. I cannot believe Mandy is 16, she is looking so well & enjoying her life. xx
Great ideas.... nice shot of her Bill!
LOL! she should have been further out on the bow :) Then she would have fitted your description to the letter Bill. Nifty shot of our auntie using live view :)
There we go! There she is! :) So nice to our lovely Tara! Purple is a lovely colour on her indeed! It definitely does look swampy out there! Tara wasn't joking when she said it was a nice day on a boat cruise around the swamps! :) Beautifully captured, Bill!
That sure was a good day! :) I'm glad we got these two shots. Good stuff!
LOL - and here's the other side! :-D I love the way it looks like Tara's going about 100 mph with the wind in her hair - and she's completely engrossed in getting the shot! Looks like you two had a stellar day! Great shot, Bill!
Good one Bill!
I'd have my arms out and be going EEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! lol I know, silly huh? This is a great portrait shot of a photographer in action.. Well caught Bill.. Rob
Tell the truth now, did you two re-enact Cate and Leonardo's famous scene from Titanic standing on the prow with your arms spread and hair waving in the wind? Enquiring minds want to know ;D Tara looks great here, relaxed and happy doing what she loves...I'm jealous!!!
Tara in the wind !!! Bravo :) :)
The artist at work. Great capture. I like your comparison with the hood ornament Bill!
A fine shot of Tara. Your hood ornament comment gave me an idea - a tiny hood ornament camera similar to the Go-Pros that mount on helmets, controlled remotely from inside the car. So that when you are taking a scenic drive, you can easily record it with a hoods-eye view. The only hitch would be coming up with an effective anti-theft device...
I'll be back for more, but this is 4 for today and a great place to end. I didn't comment on tara's similar portrait, so I'll comment on this. Yes, she does resemble a hood ornament, lol, and it's a terrific shot. It really does sweep from her shoulders and torso into her gaze and into her camera then into the river. And her hair flows right along with it. (I assume she's looking in the lcd screen---'cause if she's looking in the viewfinder, she has unbelievably good eyes!) Lotta motion here, and concentration too. Do you guys smile when you shoot? The picture of you looks like you're smiling too. (I never smile when I'm shooting. I figure other photographers will think, 'ok, that guy's an idiot'!) The smile makes it very warm. Lovely shot of tara, and of a photographer period. I really like the motion and sweep, and the way you've balanced it all. I don't know if I mentioned this to either of you (and you'll be happy if I didn't), but I was gonna take a shot of me in my bathroom, bent over and shooting into the wall. I mean camera right up against the wall. Kind of a bad joke on this series. With my hair blown back. But I couldn't set it up, as I only have one camera, and the mirror-thing would take hours...Anyway, lovely work. Real joy. I'll be back for more soon.
