SHADOWS OF CREATION by Dieter Carlton
A poem for which the artist wrote as follows ...
If I could travel time and space
I'd give the earth a brand new face
I'd travel where it all began
And conjure there a different plan
Then suddenly I did behold
Right there before my eyes unfold
From void at first, I saw it all
To rivers, lakes, and mountains tall
Then life appeared just everywhere
And sounds of birds did fill the air
My plan was but a simple one
Compared to what I've just seen done
Filled I was with inspiration
In these SHADOWS OF CREATION

The world was much like that before the industrial revolution , about the only good things to come from it were medicine the flush toilet and clean water all this technology makes life different but no nessasarly better.
