A poem for which the artist wrote as follows ...
There was a time, but long ago
When daily life was rather slow
No telephones nor TV sets
When life was hard without regrets
A time when all that we would need
We'd raise or grow ourselves, indeed
A time when we would work all day
To tend the fields and bail the hay
To feed the pigs and milk the cows
To tame the grounds beneath our plows
A time of windmills here and there
When horses took us everywhere
When sheep would graze from hill to hill
Not far below THE SHEPHERD'S MILL
