Description
Captured 4/17/14, early morn, about a mile from home, in front of some kind of hippie/nerd place that offers books, beverages, the use of computers, wifi, etc.
It's been a long time since I displayed any benches, many of which are languishing unposted in my semi forgotten folders.
Posegnanie.

Good eye Harry. Like these oddities that make good use of interesting shapes and forms. Particularly like the swoopiness of the seat on two person bench with wagon wheel in back.
As an aged hippie myself I think I should like that place.
... and I still have a little of old hippie in myself, and still love things like this, thank you for sharing!
originaland very enigmatic for me !!!
Fantastic and original... Very great captures !
This is a very cool collection of benches, Harry.
Guilty of hippieness here too, Harry; and now I'm wondering if that first one has movable wheels? Looks like it might be fun to ride it down the street with a friend. Great idea, using wagon wheels for these benches, and fantastic captures!!
I love the creativity of the creator of this wonderful benches!!! You have made some beautiful pictures of it.
Delightful find---can I say "a delightful furniture candid"? You know, I realized, in seeing your canine candids, that "candid" is a good word for a number of your shots: Not because you didn't work on them as you're shooting, or in the computer---we know you do both, with real rigor. But that some of your captures feel like they were caught "on the fly," spontaneously, as if they appeared that way for the first time in history. That's an art, and it applies to a number of your shots including inanimate objects. So this feels like a bench candid... For one thing, the top bench's right wheel (our left) has split its wooden supports. And the juxtapositions of that red cloth and the "Dollar" sign---it's a candid, even though it's classical (with the red and white backgrounds perfectly split at the mid-point of the bench). The second one also feels spontaneous, but it's lined up with the brick-lines and with that perpendicular swath in the sidewalk---a fascinating study in geometrical contrasts. Your eye is at work. Sitting-wise? Who could sit on that 2d bench? With that big hub in the middle? That's gotta hurt! (One spoke's missing too, lol. That's why I say "candid"---they didn't pretty-up for the camera.) A delightful capture of real benches---ie, they're not cosmetically maintained. And whoever's running that boutique hasn't shelled out a whole lot for furniture, lol...
