Description
Captured way back on 7/11/05, within the confines of my normally congenial condominium complex.
Poor pooch. A very nice doggie despite the mishap.
Aloha.

Awww, he can't help being drawn that way! Sweet little guy, he looks like he wants to drool all over you...wonderful shot, Harry!
cool shot!
OW!! The poor thing.. He can't help it really.. He's a lovely hound, I like him.. Another top photo mate! Rob
Another of your delightful candids, several of which have been dogs. Delightfully caught and cropped. I think this breed was a breed---that is, it was bred by humans, and wasn't how its ancestors looked in the wild. Which raises the question, who bred these? Who decided to give it a mug like that? Wikipedia says it has a "pronounced mandibular prognathism". Oooo-kay! (Accdg to them, that has to do with a protruding lower jaw.) I've not found a reason why these bulldogs/pugs, etc, were bred for this appearance, but yours is as good as any (ie, running into a door). Anyway, it's another wonderful capture of a dog looking up at you, and looking classically dog-gish. I also like the boot of the human next to him---I can't figure that out, is it a winter boot? A rain boot? It fits with the dog! Nice diagonals in the sidewalk too, in contrast to the dog and human. Very sweet shot, Harry: perfect, and totally dog-like.
