Description
A Herring Gull flies past a dock while searching for scraps of food on the surface.
The Smugglers Dock building is the perfect spot to perch some Gulls - but I didn’t look right until I added the bird poop :) I tried to make the bird poses and placement look as natural as possible. The water is just a flat mesh and a bump map with a second plane below it to form a seabed. The sky is one of my photos from Alaska. I used Octane Render standalone to render and Photoshop for the postwork.

The old fisherman's shack on the Smugglers Dock is perfect my friend. Love it all including the sea gull poop! A pelican would have fit in there for sure! You can always use any of my bird photos in any of your creations!

You could not have gulls and not have a pile of poop. Though I may not have missed it, once pointed out it makes the scene much more real.
