Description
Stalactite ice crystals forming on the edge of an ice shelf on the Cline River, Front Ranges of Alberta Rocky Mountains.
This gives a full view of the close up of the ice crystals in my last shot. Hopefully it gives a better context about their formative environment. Probably should have put this one up first.

Nice shot.
Roxie, this is a very nice capture for sure. I'm so glad you decided to share this close up view with us.
Awesome
Yes this puts it into context nicely – liked the detail in the first post!
Looks like the shrine of ice, Roxy-sensei
looks like a ice cathedral, Rox. nice capture and yes best zoomed..
Makes for a very surreal landscape
Super shot.
Nice one Roxy!!!
Full size is wicked and cool Great capture
excellent
Amazing creation and fantastic capture my friend !!!
This is an incredible shot, Roxy! I love this! With only a little imagination, one can see this structure as a tiny ice palace. A beautiful capture, indeed!
Nature is the most unique sculptor of them all. Excellent photo.
That does help.. really a cool shot of the conditions that create the effect.
Wonderful pic, but the very bright background could use some work in curves or levels - detracts from the fab foreground. I'd LOVE to tinker with this - if you'd let me, of course!
super cool, not a place to go for a swim!
