Would you believe me if I told you this was the original architect's drawing from 1755? I hope not. :P
I took this photograph of the mission church building, converted it to a line drawing in Photoshop, and used Photoshop's brush tool to give it a watercolor look. Fun stuff!

This needs to be zoomed to be fully appreciated. Wonderful work hon...just as I told you when I saw you converting this to a line drawing. Great technique and a finely composed photo:)

Yeah it does have the feeling of an architect's drawing---but also of an architect's wash painting (kind of the same thing). Or of an old etching or lithograph. Your treatment suits the building and its textures. (I saw pics of the non-processed bldg from either you or Lucinda---I don't remember which, right now.) As architectural capture, you have the biggest tower---one of them---jutting out to us, and the rest of the building falling away (to either side): A small point, but really solid architectural-composition. And you've cropped the bottom very close to the bldg, and allowed a large patch of sky above---more small points, but also fine architectural composition. Fact is, we need sky with a structure like this---it's old and beautifully arid, and it calls out for sky. Very nice treatment and fine composition; and, from everything I see, it was a very well taken shot to begin with. You capture this part of the country beautifully...
