Gold King Mine
Jerome, Arizona
Lots of old machinery parts lying around. The place is actually more organized than this might indicate. These pieces were strewn over the side of a hill between one level and another.

A most delightful capture, Tara! I love how this seems to tell a story of a time when these bits and pieces were busily humming along in hopes of striking that mother-lode. B&W suits it perfectly - echos of the past...

What an interesting collection of leftover pieces; I'd love to know what they all were for and how they were used. It does work well in B&W, but you know that!

This tells a story. I can see a date of manufacture but why the two dates? I am always fascinated by these places where people just seem to have walked away from everything.

Interesting view of these artifacts. For me it brings up philosophical thoughts on how our cultures seem to predisposed to leave things we no longer need just lying around.
