I love making some easily recognizable thing totally unrecognizable simply by changing the pov or distance at which it's viewed. For me, this is all about pattern and composition, repetition and angles.
If anybody would like to make a guess as to which sort of airplane the underside of this wing belongs to, be my guest. You'll get no argument from me, because I have absolutely no idea! :P
Oh yeah, I almost forgot ... this is a color photograph.

I was going to say it looked like one of those tin ceilings that were popular about 80 years ago. Perhaps in the home of an aircraft mechanic. I see what you mean about the patterns. This is quite artistic in its way. Nice shot and good eye.

Awesome artistic license on this! And I can definitely see the color in it. The reflections of color actually give it a sky-like quality as if it is a grey clouded sky with a bit of sunset colors and we are looking out through a window with a decor pattern on it. I even see a water reflection at the bottom. A very fun photo to use one's imagination on. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I know that style of riveting. Typical of the mid to late 1930s/early 1940s. I see why "Rosie the Riveter" was essential to winning the war. You remind me once again that I see an airplane museum differently than you do. I am just a wee bit jealous:)
