Description
Well I thought the tour of the Papal Palace was down to its last image but sorting through my original shots I found two more that I think are worth posting and so I worked them up in raw. This is the final countdown.... 3...2...1 before I am on to something completely different. Thanks for sticking out this series to date!
Those steps in my last image were actually leading down to a side entrance to the Papal Chapel, so once more we have landed there. You can see the steps at the far left of this image.
I was ahead of Anne, heading for the exit, and as I turned around to see where she was I saw that she had become entranced by the sunlight streaming into the windows. I quickly dropped to the floor, and took several shots of her from a very low low angle. The beautiful tile allignment gave me some wonderful leading lines and shooting into the light gave it a radiant feeling. This should give you an even better idea of how vast this mystical medieval palace is.

WOW! methinks that posting in B&W adds so much to the quality of these photos. excellent capture Roxy and thanks for sharing your marvelous trip with us
You inspire me so much, you have no idea. With a camera, you are magic. Here goes another one to my faves. LOL
Wow, great perspective Roxy... this really gives you the idea of just how huge and magnificent it truly is.
A truly beautiful shot. The grand scale of this place is really overwhelming. I could only imagine it filled, at one time, with tapestries, statues and who knows what. You can almost see the ghosts. And. Whoaaa! New look for the site and a giant comment box! I guess they do listen.
This is absolutely epic, Roxy! I love the low POV - very creative, and it really enhances the hugeness of this hall. An exquisite capture, indeed! I don't know how to act with these BIG text boxes! :-D
I think this one is truly amazing Roxie. Love the pov you went with here.
Good that you have as a human size comparison. Together with the low angle I see how big and powerful they are gemäuer. The architecture is gorgeous with its high-vaulted. An excellent capture! I also love the machining very monochrome.
excellent
Great POV really gives it the feel of a very large, cavernous space & the light is superb as well...
Excellent perspective – love the sepia tone and lighting.
Great pov on this and love the treatment here. This really does give you a perspective on the size of this place.
Still a great place to shoot!
