Description
Blue and green.
Captured back on 5/12/10, at beautiful Legg Lake in the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in not-so-beautiful South El Monte, California.
This needs a ZOOM to be fully appreciated.
I hope you don't get tired of this particular subject matter, because I have a heck of a lot of them. Having made visits there on both 5/10/10 and 5/12/10, I got in a ton of shots.
Toodles, and have a simpatico day.

Very beautiful !
Spectacular photo and post work despite it being not-so beautiful South El Monte, Ca.
WOW... Marvelous capture and fantastic image !!!
Beautiful scene in the not-so-beautiful area. Great photo!
Luminous and lovely, Harry; no wind here, wonderful reflections and a distinct paucity of ripples, it doesn't get much better than this! Well captured!
Nice photo once again, Harry. This really is a lovely lake.
really lovely!!
Wonderful shot. Aloha
Superb picture and a great view!!!!!!!!!!!
Showing once again that even without a $25 grand Leica (or $40 grand Hasselblad), one can do beautiful shimmering landscapes. Your son and you called this "not-so beautiful South El Monte"---lol, well I'll take your word for it: I've never been there. But it just brings out what magic a photographer wields. The shot makes it look like an idyllic, quiet, oh-so-still place, surrounded by beautiful hills and distant mountains, which is punctuated by humans maybe once in a while. Beautiful work on the water, just enough ripples to give it "speech," but mostly clear; the light on the trees (and land below them) is a beautiful yellow and green; and the sky---in upper third---is perfect complement to the water. The shot sweeps, but it's also intimate and embraceable. Very keen seeing, Harry, fine detail and hue; and you let the water take-over the shot, as it should. Your last landscape was also beautiful (and a more complex composition), but let this comment stand for both. I'll do more when I come back next time...A shimmering vision of this place.
the colors are beautiful
