Description
Captured back on 5/10/10, at beautiful Legg Lake in the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in not-so-beautiful South El Monte, California.
Catching up on my old pics, little by little. I have several shots of this sort in my files.
A varying breeze that day created ripples in the water that prevented sharp mirrorlike images. Contrast increased for a more dramatic impact.
Utterly ZOOM worthy; in fact, strongly recommended.
Ciao, baby, and have a nice day.

Fantastic reflects and marvelous image !
A super postcard!
Great greens and reflections Super
There is a very mirrorlike reflection on the closer part of the lake; apparently the breeze was rerouted around that part! What a beautiful capture of this green green green outdoor area with that lovely blue sky! Gorgeous work, Harry!
Fantastic capture of this very beautiful area, Harry.
Nice post work. Very picturesque
nice place for a picnic, nice shot.
Once again amazing colors you have captured, and lovely place, bad placement on the power lines on their planning though huh? nice work
I want you to notice, I'm doing all CURRENT photographs! Not back on page 9! Well this is a beautiful, full bodied, very verdant, luminous, varied and opening shot. By "opening" I mean it opens-up to us as we move from right to left: You caught this---or cropped it---so the lake opens to us on the left, displaying all its beauty and fullness. Grand lake---the reflections are crystalline. And the ripples, caught here as if they 'posed' for you (because they're perfectly placed), make a second layer in the lake. Beautiful, Harry, as beautiful as the shot following. I agree with the comments above; and yeah, those power lines are difficult, but it's life and what're ya gonna do? It would be nice if they hadn't been put there, but your capture of trees and lake so dominates, we barely notice. (In fact, their lines blend into the sweep of the shot.) Beautiful work.
I have to admit it is a lovely, peaceful looking place.. Great shot mate, well taken. Rob
