Seems an old issue has raised its ugly head again. Bullies. It seems with the cold weather, it's a bit uncomfortable to go to the local playground and beat up 8-year-olds, so they come here.
Well for all those inbred maggots that get their jollies by hurting others, T.N.A. Girls Betty, Arawen, G4, and Melanie have a few words...

Don't bother running away - like the cowards you are - when you find yourselves outmatched. Ar's robotic buddy can run faster than a cheetah, and will sink its metal teeth into your sorry ass and make you cry "momma" as you get dragged back for more.
Seriously - I think the best way to deal with these brainless morons is to expose their stupidity and make them the laughing stock of the whole community. First, forward their idiotic remarks to the admins.... Then have some fun with them.
A couple years ago, I had someone make some snide comment about one of my posts - something along the lines of "Such crap being presented as art..." I took the ball and ran with it. Not only did I immediately create a similar work - just to irritate them - but for the next month, every post I created had some reference to "I love crappy art" placed somewhere in the piece - maybe on a t-shirt, or graffiti on a wall, or whatever. My friends loved it, and we all got a good laugh out of the whole thing.
I call it the "Michelangelo Response." When he painted the "Last Judgment" mural in the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo caught a lot of grief for the nude figures. Biagio da Cesena, the Vatican's master of Ceremonies, said that "it was mostly disgraceful that in so sacred a place there should have been depicted all those nude figures, exposing themselves so shamefully," and that it was "no work for a papal chapel but rather for the public baths and taverns." Michelangelo's delightful response was to paint Biagio in hell, in the figure of Minos, with a great serpent curled around his legs, among a heap of devils.
The whole point is to not let these pathetic wastes of DNA ruin your day - and for crying out loud, don't give them the satisfaction of 'defeating' you by deleting your gallery, or leaving. That just makes them feel like they've "accomplished" something. Instead, stay. Create your art. Enjoy your friends. If they bitch about your rendering nudes, render LOTS of nudes. Stay in their face. It will drive them crazy....And ultimately out of our community. The detractor I described above has long since departed the community, and I'm still here...
By the way.... I don't mind CONSTRUCTIVE criticism at all - in fact I welcome it. I've had a few suggestions from friends, and I appreciate it when someone cares enough to help me make my art better. There's always room to improve and learn.

Haha, good rant and great image Rod! Some good suggestions too. One suggestion on my page was to simply ignore them - but some people have a hard time doing that. They need to feel like they are doing something to fight back. Your alternatives to that here are great :) Rub it in their face. Love it. You rock Rod!!
LOL, you tell 'em, rant on! At least here you can (sort of) tell who is sniping at you. What I hate are the spineless wimps in the workplace etc. who anonymously snipe from the shadows. I guess it gives them a feeling of power in an otherwise wimpy exuse for a life. So go ahead, give 'em a double charge of rock salt in the buttocks - here I'll even reload for ya. LOL!
Couldn't agree more with your advice Rod. While driving our RV I occasionally incur the middle finger of some small minded driver that doesn't like me doing the speed limit or some such...the thing that drives them mad is simply smiling back and giving a friendly wave. LIfe is way to short to let nay sayers rule your life! If I ever have a problem, I'll ask you to dispatch the girls and their robotic friend to us. Well done!!!

Bullies are cowards....I'd just ignore them if I were you....they get their "jollies" off on picking on someone. They're just spineless cowards, and they're not worth worrying about. Excellent scene with an excellent message Rod. The lighting is perfect - creating nice shadows. Doesn't look like a group I would want to get POed at me! I know what you're saying ... giving an artist some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism - AKA suggestions for improvement - is one thing. Bashing is another. Speaking of suggestions ... : ) ... did you know that after conforming clothing to G4 figures you can scale her down to somewhere around 97% and she more closely matches V4's size? The hair doesn't always shrink with the character but that can be done individually. IMO it is the one thing I personally think would enhance the above. But, that's just me. : )
Awesome scene and work Rod, i agree also with you and with others. But i did not deleted my gallety only for this bad and ugly person who have hurt me so much.....theire was so much more going on in my personal life....that i made a decision to deleted my gallery. and start over....i know i hurt a lot of friends feelings about deleting my gallery, but for my self it was a good thing to do.....Now i can start clean. And i made my self a promise that i will not listen do those people anny more and if it will happen again i will report them. Witch i also did the last time....And he has left Renderosity....But the sad thing is, that i know this person....and i thought it was a friend about 18 months ago....But i know now that you can not trust all friends. I also now know who my real friends are Rod, and i know that i have many friends who have supported me in bad times. LMAO... hell, if I didn't like crappy art I wouldn't post anything! I come here to look at what others are creating and see what's on their minds. To me this place is better than any blog. And yeah there are haters here, screw them. I like your idea of getting into their heads and swirling the little bit of gray matter still there around. Just got a comment on my Ted Nugent image... about how no one here thinks on their own, mindless. Of course, what he really meant to say was "I can't believe how many here don't think just like me".. fantastic image and great rant! couple other ways to deal with these induhviduals, go to their gallery (if they have one) and provided constructive criticism by the ton - nit-pick their image and go for the gusto. if they don't have images, ask they vial SM when they are going to post so we can see how good their arit is. Another method ala Rod McKuen - hit them in the head with love: thank them very nicely for their comments and wish them a wonderful day...

The girls are ready to bring it! Perhaps the crass, classless plebeians feel such envy that the feel the need to denigrate a picture to bolster their own self worth. In a left handed way it could be construed as a compliment. Never having evoked a jealousy response from a cretin I do not know how it feels. Then I do believe that there are special pitfalls in life for the insignificant, addlepated, egregious simpletons of the world. But what do I truly know. I do know a well constructed render when I see one, a well lit one as well.
BRAVO Rod! I don't know how many artists I've tried to support and help after some person's attacked their art. If I don't like something, I don't comment. There are some individual artists I don't appreciate and hence I don't look at their art. There are others who appreciate it, good for them. Love your rant and agree with all the others who have responded. Keep up the good work! :-)

This is so sad whats going on, I don't see what they could possible get from doing this. This is specially bad for new artist, it can crash his spirt before it even starts. What angers me the most is if you go to their site, they don't have a single Image! We need these people to go somewhere else!!... Enough of that, now for the great Image before me... I like how the girls are all just ready for the fight, ( feel sorry for the poor dumb Bleep, who piss them off), They're in deep do do now... and just so you know my girls are standing by if needed... specially Trish! you so right do not delete your gallery. they tried to kick me off three times and had a lot of threads in the forums bad mouthing me. they even got new names that people just jion up with no images to bad mouth me and my work. i keep on doing what I do and they did get two of my images kick off the art sire,BIG DEAL... I saw they art. it was just as good as mine and yes some was better and they knew a lot more that me. I did not care. They was here longer than me and here I was a new person that had more people looking at my art instead of theirs. i told them if they was nice to people more would look at they art. or if they go and comment on other people art maybe more would come also. most is gone and i still here. yes i would tell some one something is wrong but i would sent them a message like they person in the image is not on the ground when I know it should be on the ground but that minor stuff. I did get people mad at me for senting them messages also lol some people is just do not wish to be told nothing. it will hurt them. Just be like Van gosh and do not worry.
Your ladies can tackle me any day! Somehow these bully things come up and I have to confess ignorance. I know it exists, but I guess I miss the comments and who they are directed at. I think it's great in this small community that most people look after and support one another. We'll add a 10th ring of Hell for the bullies!

Yeah... I've seen Ray posting about this subject too. I don't get it, man. Sadly, I guess that some people are just dicks. Odd thing is, I post a LOT of "boobie" pics and I never get anyone slagging me off. Maybe has something to do with the fact that I would track them down and rip out their spine?? LOL! Rod, I couldn't agree more.. Not only do the Rendo 'Elite' allow it to go on, just in case the offenders spend 'money' on the site, buy, the never seem to deal with any of them...
