I shot this from atop Airport Mesa. And yes, they really do land planes there. :)
It's been pretty busy around here, and I almost missed the fact that today is January 3rd. It's my RR anniversary ... I've been here for six years! It hardly seems possible. :)

You seem to be following the same path I did when I was there. Did you find any vortexes? Jordan and I talked to all kinds of people who said the airport had one very powerful one, but as we stood there and looked at this very view, I didn't feel anything special. Maybe my mindset wasn't quite right. At any rate, I've loved seeing Sedona again--thanks!!
It is beautiful there. We rode in the helicopter through some it it.....and the gauges on the copter went crazy over one spot. Wild. Beautiful photo.

Loved this series of Sedona. I was there last August and just fell in love with it. I also tried one of the Vortex's as well. The only feeling I think I felt was the tingling in my legs. But then I had been driving all day. Cannot wait to go back and explore this unique part of the country.

Nice scene and I'm glad you included a lot of sky because there is a lot of it there! Instruments going crazy over a spot is most likely due to deposits of iron ore producing magnetic anomalies; similar things happen at sea and lots of those locations are well charted for the unwary who may get freaked out.

Yep! I'm still convinced that Chicago needs a mesa with an airport on top of it...or tv towers with giant babies crawling up them...but then, when I think of it, Chicago has a few odd things of its own...but still no mesa capping airports. Oh well! And as I study this photo, I am convinced that I now know how to recognize Sedona, Arizona from a long way away! From the way that it looks here, I wanna get up close. Those are such amazing colors. This is a great series. I'm diggin' those rock formations.
