Description
Captured 12/4/12, early AM, at a local park about 1.5-miles from my secluded sanctuary.
The first time I ever encountered anything but the white variety of fungi, which in itself is rare, in the vast area that I cover neighborhood wise. This was not widespread in the park, and is the only spot where I found it. I hope there is someone out there that can ID this particular variety. I have one special person in mind.
Shalom, and have a nice day.

Very nice work on this really cool collage Harry
They look like little flying saucers from outer space, Harry.
Very interesting find, Harry! Almost impossible to ID without seeing the gill pattern and stalk shape, and smelling them, but great that you actually found some!
Ooh, those are neat, Harry! They look like they'd feel leathery to the touch. I'm always amazed at the variety of fungi out there. Congrats on finding these, and getting this excellent trio of shots.
