Description
One example of the pride of home ownership, captured 10/6/12, early AM, somewhere within the vast perimeter of the general neighborhood.
A ZOOM would be beneficial.
I believe these surgically sculptured bushes would easily qualify as topiary.
Looks like a Philodendron at the very end.
Pozegnanie, and have a nice day.

A great photo, but I really dislike this sort of thing!
I love this sort of thing. It looks so regal.
Love the title Harry, and wow someone is kept busy with those trees. hugs Jane xx
I'm a really lazy gardener, I let things grow naturally. Takes a lot of time and effort for this sort of thing. They do look like they are on parade.
Nice capture Harry, they are very well groomed
A very neat looking capture and someone has really worked hard to get them so neat and so well groomed. Your title really suits this shot.
What a beautiful spread of shaped trees! I love this, they look so healthy and well-kept. Excellent capture here, Harry!
Good POV
Now IS well pruned!!! Very neat, very smart turn out.. Top marks there.. Great looking shot Harry, well taken, well found! Thanks for the links about your defense cuts to come.. I have read about them here, as you know our Military has been hacked to pieces in an effort to save money.. Stupid if you ask me.. There are other ways, there are THERE.. Even I (who is NOT a U.S. citizen) can see a few, but the easy way will always come first AND Mr Obama will certainly not want to upset his voters....You know who I mean.. Sorry about the slaughter to come, they will regret it.. Rob
As a subject, it's worthy of the camera because these bushes are so perfectly hewn: They're like sculptures. I did landscaping years back, and I know that trimming a bush this smoothly is très hard. Onnce again, you find the unusual in every square foot of your city...But then there's the quality of the image: This early morning light owes you a paycheck and an award for how beautifully you serve it, photo after photo. The overall theme, in the bushes, is that early morning yellow-doused green. But your textures, the sharp contrasts between greens and shadows and browns and yellows, makes these a series of huge rolled tapestries. And the larger shadows---on the 2d through 4th bushes, from the right---are like abstract designs: They contrast boldly with the greens. The whole is set off by the typically sand-toned wall beneath (and white fence, etc); and by a crystal blue sky above. You got just the right amount of both. In so many of your early a.m. shots, clarity abounds. Sheer clarity. Brought to us with a freshness as if we're seeing it for the first time. (In Chicago, there's so much cloud and storm activity, this kind of clarity would be an 'event'.) A crystalline piece; and I like that you gave us a snippet of a less-landscaped bush in the lower right corner. An eye popper once again, Harry.
