Description
We met an older gentleman this morning. Three years ago, he had been riding an 850 pound (386 kg) motorcycle and he had decided that it was too much weight for him to handle. The resulting solution is the homemade CycleCar in this photo. He used a 1984 Pontiac Fiero, automatic transition with the four-cylinder engine in the rear. The seat is centered on the frame and that is the radiator cooling system sitting next to the driver. The only negative things I could see was that the gas tank is located where the rear window would be and it is a single rider vehicle because of the placement of the radiator. The radiator eliminates the potential of a passenger sitting behind the driver. The engine takes up the entire trunk (boot to our English friends) so there is really no storage space. Fiero means proud in Italian and wild, fierce or ferocious in Spanish and was originally designed a two-seat sports car. This combination was much quieter than a large Harley. I added the rear view so you could see the placement of the gas tank in the rear window.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Pretty cool not for canadian winter loll But perfect for California State :) Oh about California...read this: California’s Earthquake Swarm ???
What an odd contraption! It's amazing what human beings will come up with when given enough free time and willpower. I rather like it! What a fantastic hybrid thing, and aside from a few design idioyncracies, I can see something like this taking off and becoming a bit mainstream. I've got a ton of catching up to do...new schedules and stuff kinda suck...but I figure that this IS a good place to start!
Cool idea and capture my friend!!!!!Bravissimo as usual!V:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
It looks like dangerously heavy loading for that front wheel! Hope it holds together. I really think in this age people should not be allowed to make any modifications they like without it being certified by professional engineers. In Canada, for example, it took years to create standards for bumper height as that is a major safety issue. But anyone can buy a truck, lift it two feet and go out on the road ready to kill anyone unfortunate enough to collide with it. They become more unstable as well. So why have any standards?
Great captures Dana.
Amazing and very cool photos my friend, excellent work!
Very funky conversion and sidecar bonus, I agree the tank placement is a bit odd, if it was in the new engine bay, then you would have great rear vision, which is doubly important if you ride a bike, but bad in an accident...mmm Well done & ~Cheers~
WOW ... It's a fabulous bike !!!
