There's a painting by Magritte which has little to do with this; but it has one thing in common: It's a huge apple filling a small room, it's called "The Listening Room," and you get the feeling that someone in deep listening absorbs the whole space, as the apple does in Magritte's famous painting. The analogy stops there, because this woman isn't an apple, and she's so much more complex than Magritte's apple. (Magritte, being a surrealist, loved to capsulize human experience in objects.) This is a beautiful face and expression. And you've cropped her to take up nearly the whole image, and she seems to absort the world around her. A beautiful thought-involved expression, you've allowed light on her upper hair (it's beautifully done), while the rest of her hair recedes into darkness. And her head tilts as if emerging from inside herself into the world. It's beautiful, tara, and your title is perfect. (In some works of art, the title is part of the art. It is the setting for the art, its background.) And b&w was the perfect hue for this capture...
