Description
Captured yesterday, 3/14/12, mid afternoon, within treading distance of my littered lair.
ZOOM worthy.
What had been a patchy mediocre grass lawn just a few months ago has been magically transformed into a veritable Elysium of rocks. From what I've seen around the community, this is the only one of its kind, a virtual anomaly. From an ugly duckling to beautiful swan, or kiss a frog and you get a prince, no matter the materials used.
Unfortunately, of concern should be the nighttime shenanigans of feral youths who could really raise havoc with this scene.
So long, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

It is beautiful but Id so miss my green grass lol
My idea of a a hellish 'garden'..but lovely shots, Harry.
beautiful done but i like green grass there better
Green grass or nothing? Tsk,tsk, everyone is so picky. The lawn that was there before the rocks really sucked.
They did a very nice job creating this "rock" garden, but my eye looks toward the green yard in the background. I'm sure this looks much better than it did previously, most people would just work harder on their lawns I think. Being a homeowner, I know how difficult keeping a nice lawn can be....sometimes this option can seem tempting.
Green yard in the background? It's barely a slit of lawn and hardly perceptible. And, I have more shots of this "rock garden."
Nice capture here Harry, this was a great idea someone had
Beautiful results and photos Harry. Keep us updated of this property.
at lest they do not have to cut the grass
There are a only a few of this kind of "lawn" in this area; most people seem to opt for the grass (plus moss and dandelions) look, and not too well-kept either, except for the really expensive homes. This is nicely clean and organized, being new; hopefully it won't get messy and acquire bald spots! Lovely capture of this home improvement, Harry!
Smart, neat and a garden made for hot areas........like the U.K. is turning into! lol Great shots Harry, think its quite 'new', needs to grow into itself more, it will look all the better then.. Well done.. Rob
Brilliant I hate to admit how much time my yard takes to keep up I enjoy it to a point but not when you have to be doing it. Beautiful and so tidy, kudos to the owners!!
We used to have to do our yards in Arizona like that cause you couldnt grow grass lol. I like it!!
