Description
Quite an assortment of various sized and shaped bricks, captured 2/2/12, early morning, within treading distance of my semidomesticated digs.
Absolutely ZOOM worthy.
An architectural feature most popular around the city, whether it be banks, restaurants, malls, or state government buildings. Besides walls, also used on columns.
Adieu, thankx for coming aboard, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

Perspective, color, texture. You've captured it all. I've always thought these were cut stones. One way or the other, you've created a sharp, clear image. Well done my friend.
A classy bit of drystone walling
Great pic Harry, and your right about what a cool collection this is
I love this stuff; it's almost as nice as the drystone walls in the UK. This one is so neat and clean, I'd love to see it in 50 years when it's got grunge and moss on it! Excellent shot, Harry; you got great detail on the textures of the individual stones, even some shadowplay happening there.
It certainly creates an interesting wall surface.
love the textures here. lighting is wonderful
Very impressive wall and it seems to have nothing holding it together. This is a work of art, a great find and a wonderful capture.
made a beautiful textures !! well seen and captured in sunshine !! ,here it's raining :(
fantastic!!!
Yep, we call this drystone walling in the U.K. Its used extensively in the hills as cement does not last well.. It takes some skill to lay a good wall in the hills, they last hundreds of years.. This is a fine example, good find Harry! Rob
It is excellent. I thank you. 5+!
Beautiful! Wonderful detail, textures, and light. I love the perspective and the soft gray and peach colors.
Excellent shot Harry; Pov really expresses it's beautiful layers and textures.
OK this shot it just sooo cool!! WOW Awesome wall Harry. Id like one installed around all four acers of my property thank you LOL
when this went up & you said it was typical of your city (the type of brick arrangement, etc) I learned something new. I never knew this was popular in LA. It's a beautiful shot, I agree with bill, it has powerful perspective, color & texture. And somehow you managed to capture the constant undulating changes of hue & shadow in the stones; and that undulation is carried throughout the whole: I.e., the whole shot seems to 'dance' with all those forms & lights & shades. Even the ground has that dance. A very basic thing---a brick wall with cut stone---and you present it as a big visual dance. Simple & beautiful, and---in hue---quite restful & pastel. A first rate shot, Harry.
