Description
Captured 6/12/10, at the Centennial Aviation Day celebration held on the grounds of the beautiful Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum in Carson, California.
Look what I found -- dug out of one of my forgotten files. A tree expert in the audience may be able to identify this purple(?) beauty. I'm glad there were people around for size comparison.
Besides the Centennial, tons/tonnes of lovely foliage at the Museum.
Adjo, thankx for tuning in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

That's magnificent. Great color. I'm thinking it may be Bouganvillea.
I also was thinking bougainvillea, but it may also be a type of crepe myrtle or azalea. Whatever it is, it's absolutely gorgeous and vigorously healthy! Wonderful shot, Harry!
You did a splendid job on this colorful dedi Harry
I'm no help on this one but it sure makes for a very striking and colorful photo. Nicely done.
Beautiful capture Harry. It looks like a Bougainvillea to me too. Almost the same color as ours.
Gorgeous!!!!
it's a Bouganvillea indeed !! wonderful and really big !!
What a stunner!
Great photo!
Wow!!! That is eye catching for sure Harry.. lol You would not miss that one.. Its a really fine shot and a tremendous looking shrub! Good one mate! Rob
wow!!!
It is amazing. I thank you very much. 5+!
No doubt about it, I have these Bougainvilleas also growing - they love to lean on other trees and grow out of control, and take over just like parasites would but what a beauty, just watch out for those big and spiky thorns! dangerous - trust me, we have been 'bitten' many times, trying to prune them ... eyecandy, Harry BB
It looks like it's erupting out of the greenery. Excellent colors and capture!
morning glory was right, my parents always had this growing in their yard, but wow never as huge as this, great photo.
WOW! HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful also, but HUGE!
