You can't have everything in life the great side lighting was perfect to show detail in the wings etc but not the white head! But those claws are awesome!

Awesome action capture, excellent POV and details, my favorite bird to shoot. Was at a couple of the lakes earlier this month and found a young eagle not yet in adult plumage and an adult at another lake both in the south and central parts of Oklahoma. Unfortunately there locations made it difficult to shoot. I tried to walk to the youngest one by the time I got close enough to start shooting he flew, not away from me as you would expect but right over me and I wasn't ready, should be a sin to not be ready. I shot but got nothing to write home about. Long story short I missed my only opportunity that day. The adult was off the lake dam on an island to far away for my 100-400, I shot him anyway just to prove I seen him as it's a little early for this part of the world late December, January and February are when the biggest populations are here. Once again superb capture and thanks for sharing your talent Danny, always amazing!
