Description
I think it's become almost a traditional that whenever latest incarnation of Victoria/Michael comes out I have do a render to see how my latest birds match up the new figure. In this case it's V5 with the Tori character and my Bearded Helmetcrest (hummingbird). I think it measures up pretty well imo :)
The Helmetcrest is found in Colombia and Venezuela in sub-tropical areas and in high-elevation tropical grasslands known as páramo.
The Helmetcrest is sort of a "missing link between songbirds and hummingbirds-- showing characteristics of both. It is usually seen alone at low flowering bushes or herbs. It often perches on large boulders, and sometimes walks on the ground (making it one of the only hummingbirds known "to walk") and makes bounding leaps between ground level flowers . They regularly cling to flowers when feeding and jump (like a little goat-hence the Spanish name (Oxypogon guerinii) from one clump of flowers to another.
Rendered in DS4 with minor post (for wing blur)
Models: Tori for V5 (3DCelebrity) and my Hummer from "Hummingbirds of the Americas"

Beautiful,
Would like to have seen the bird a different color than the background. Other than that, nice work.
nice work Ken
Very nice work! Great looking hummingbird!
Wonderful scene! Your hummingbirds are the best!
Interesting and apparentyl unusual hummer. Great image and oh no V5!? What do I do with all my v4 characters! ;)
Very interesting bird and wonderful model. Very well done render.
Oh I love this one too! It must be quite exciting to see this beauty in real life. A new Vicky already? She looks surprised too, that she's a number 5. She IS pretty, a good match for the helmetcrest. Nicely done.
Very lovely!
So adorable!
