My mom died Saturday, October 22 at 4:46 PM while I was holding her hand.

It's tough losing your Mother... and like you, I was the one at my Mother's side. I felt for a pulse on her jugular vein and couldn't find one. I put my ear to her chest and heard the last two hear beats... she was in Hospice in Lakewood off of 14th. I'm so sorry you have to go through this in your life, it isn't easy. My Mom passed ten years ago - what has helped me is to remember the things you shared. One was my Mother took me to the YMCA when I was a kid to learn how to swim and Tae Kwan Do... over 30 years since I had been to the Y, after my Mom Passed, I went to the Y to see if I could see the pool... I was allowed... as I walked down there, it all looked the same it hadn't changed - then I looked up and totally forgot about the observation deck to view the pool... as I looked up, I felt my Mother's presence sitting where she always sat when she came to pick me up.... I have too many memories such as this to share, but know we all have to go sometime and while your alive be what your Mom would want you to be, stay happy and look for her, you are an artist, you should be able to feel her presence and don't feel like holding back, talk to your Mom I believe she can hear you...stay strong.

Oh, I am so very sorry Laura. You were there for your Mom, when she needed you most and that is always something to cherish. I understand a little of what you might be feeling right now. I also cared for my Mother at home, before she died. God bless you and stay strong. Steve & Cathy :)
