Description
...this rooster rules the roost in a friend's garden...yes the same one that has the fancy sprinkler and Rubrum Lily posted in my gallery almost two weeks ago.
...he's been after me everyday (the rooster not our friend) for almost two weeks now to make him a star;-)
...used the on-camera flash since the sun was setting fast and all the chickens were in deep shade.

cock of the walk but about a thumbtack size brain.sharp capture
He's a gorgeous roo! Great shot!
What a masterpiece of manhood! I would certainly fancy him myself if I was the same species.
Magnificent~
Is he a New Hampshire Red? My Martha Washington is and they look similar. I have been told they are the friendliest of the breeds. Great shot of a most regal cock-of-the-walk.
This is a superb capture and just look at that spur, wouldn't want to mess with him, better to cry chicken!!
Wonderful capture
Excellent portrait of this would-be star! Something very intriguing about chickens...
WOOOOWWWW!!! I love him already. He is so handsome. LUV chickens and this rooster is a pure beauty.
Cool Rooster by the superb posture! Great photos, Bill!
excellent clear shot of him !! like his colortones!!
He really is a beauty, isn't he? I've never seen such a lovely collection of chickens. I think every single one of them was different from the others. This guy has such beautiful feathers and luscious colors, he deserves his moment in the spotlight!
That has got to be the most colorful rosster I've ever seen! Not that I spend much time with chickens, you know.... Other than on the grill.. A gorgeous photo of this fellow, Bill!
Interesting "airplane"! :) Hmmm...you mean he was after you? For his photo to be taken? Sounds a bit Narcissistic. Or, was he jealous and afraid you'd be a challenge to his rule of the roost? I've seen that on occasion, having been regarded as an unwelcome outsider by a rooster once. I had to refrain from entering the roost. The owner had to fetch the eggs! Very nice photo of this fellow. You've really captured the variations of color in his feathers. Considering you used flash, I wonder how he reacted to that! Scared? Or angered? Has he avoided you after that? Keep up the good work! :-)
hes a handsome guy

He has a lot to crow about by the look of those spurs!
