Description
Buckingham Palace is the London home and primary residence of the British monarch. Located in Westminster, the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis. It is located at the southwest end of The Mall. Some info from Wikipedia. May 1995 photo scanned. This is fantastic. It's hilarious because I'm reading Kraken by China Miéville, and he describes a very different London! When I saw this picture, I wondered what else makes its home in this palace. I love the details and that front gate is nicely imposing. Great POV too...you can see just how gargantuan this place is! I'd hate to be the one who pays its heating bill in winter, but I can definitely enjoy every other aspect of it, except living there, since I'm not a monarch! Oh well!
