Description
Latin name: Oenothera.
Dutch: Teunisbloem.
While I took pictures of this Evening-Primroses, suddenly there came a butterfly land on it.
Great surprise :)
When our children were young, she liked it very much, to see how this flower unfold itself
in one our two minutes, as it gets dark.
I like very much the smell of these flowers, so very sweet,
a bit like the Honeysuckle.
BTW, I have facial cream, in which is used the Evening-Primrose.
Will I be a late-night bloomer now?

Information, translated by Google from Dutch to English:
The plant flowers from late June to mid August. The seeds of most species ripen from August to October. The capsule contains approximately 200 seeds from which a valuable oil is extracted.
The genus is related to the fireweed. Many species are night-bloomers and the flowers have a habit of evening twilight in the open. The buds unfold in a few minutes to flowers. The next day they wither, but the evening with new flowers open, so for weeks. They are pollinated by nocturnal insects.

Delightful dual capture. Dana
Wonderful flower my friend, lovely photo!
this is lovely and the butterfly is super with it
Awesome capture of both flower and butterfly!!
The yellow looks so beautiful against the dark greens. What a wonderful flower to shine in the evening hours. I love the way the buds rise up in the center of the flowers. The soft colors of the butterfly are perfect for these flowers and the diffused light. Beautiful capture! Gorgeous color and light! It looks like each flower has its own starfish. :)
