My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Your lighting as always is magical; not just the warmth of the peaches, but the circles of the bowl rims moving out concentrically and the line of the ?tray? bisecting the vertical space. Really nicely done, Tara!

Wow! Congratulations on your 16oo images! This one is worthy of such a prestigious number. Nice lighting and postwork. I think I photographed that lighthouse many years ago.

Lots of fine comments above. I particularly like Denise's words reference your composition and light. This image makes a great sample of "how-to-do-it". Big hugs for 1600!

Lovely photo and postwork, Tara! Those peaches just make this image - real or not. Wonderful warm tones.. Congrats on the big 1600! I completely agree with you - the folks here just rock!
Orinoor
Really beautiful, the tones are so rich. You should pick up a myrtle wood bowl while you are in the area!

What a way to celebrate 1600! And what a marvelous oil-painting-photo-oil-painting thing. That's what I love about digital art: you can blur boundaries and do wonderful stuff like oilpaint a photo, and I must say that you've done so incredibly well here. The whole image is so visually warm and rich and nicely aged, rather like a fine wine. This rocks. I'm looking forward to 1600 more.

Lovely still life scene. It's a shame that the peaches are not real.
