Description
The lighthouse at Yaquina Bay, Oregon, has been nicely restored and furnished in the style of the period (1870s) when the lighthouse was in use and occupied by a family.
The peaches aren't real, of course, but everything else is meant to be authentic to the time.
Postworked to produce the look of an oil painting, further reflecting the historical nature of the image.
1600 images in my gallery now! Many thanks to those of you who view, comment and favorite my work. I've met so many good friends here (and married one of them!), and after four and a half years, I'm still not bored. You all make this the best art site around!

Very good composition :)
Wonderful!!
Tara, it's a perfect image to be your fist 1600th. Congratulations!
This looks amazing from up close and from across the room. Up close I love the textures and paint effects. Across the room I am relaxed and invigorated (a great combination) by the glow of the peaches and the flow of the circles against the dark. Marvelous image and postwork!
