Originally I had come up with Esther first before creating my own version of Peter, because she was supposed to be my version of the Easter Bunny rather than the traditional male humanoid rabbit figure. I even had a tagline of, "She's not your father's Easter Bunny!" and she was actually intended to be a villain and not a hero, since Peter himself was supposed to be missing in action and she took over as a militant dictator of sorts with a vengeance against the world for the loss of her father. I've since nixed that idea at least for now, since Peter is no longer M.I.A. However, since they are both relatively new characters to my universe there is always room for that dynamic to change. She and her father, Peter, are stated above to be the last of their kind, and it is unknown what happened to her mother. And, while she did indeed grow up on Easter Island, in Chile, in South America, on Earth, it is unclear if she was actually born there, rather than just raised there. Therefore, her actual place of origin, much like her father's, is unknown. But, for all intents and purposes, the ancient spaceship that has become their home on Easter Island is the only home that she's ever known, and while growing up was a bit lonely with just the Moai Men to keep her company as her only friends, it fostered in her an inquisitive nature to discover all that she could about the ship that become her home, and gave her the knowledge to reverse engineer a lot of what she could salvage into gear for both herself and her dad. Things such as teleportation devices and other gadgets to help them travel the world that go hand in hand with any natural mystical abilities that they might have, since their spacecraft home is completely grounded and will never fly again. And, mobility is very important to both of them. Peter needs to be able to travel the world in his duties as the "Easter Bunny," and Esther herself very much has an overwhelming sense of wanderlust, wanting to get out and explore anywhere and everywhere that she can possibly go as a traveling heroine after spending her entire childhood trapped in the spaceship on the island for her protection. But, she's a grown woman now, and can protect herself, and can even use her talents to protect others, which she fully intends to do in her travels. Plus, she knows that her dad is more than capable of taking care of himself, and the Moai Men are always there to hold down the fort. But, she's never too far away to come back to them if she's ever needed, even if she's off exploring the other side of the galaxy.
